About Evert

Evert Debusschere ( 1996° Kortrijk, Belgium. Living in Ghent, BE) is an artist with a profound technique and vision. He is a painter pur-sang and well rooted in various traditions of the arts especially in modern painting since the the romantic and naturalist movement (late 18century - Mid 19th century ) unto the impressionist movement (1870).

He works a lot en plein-air and often finishes pieces in studio. Being captivated by the ideas, concepts (both subconscious and conscious) underlying the phenomenon of the emergence of impressionism and the change in execution and philosophy.

He did a study Visual Arts in secondary School at DAS-Kortrijk, and a BA en MA in Painting at LUCA School Of Arts, Ghent. Currently he works in Ghent and Deinze, Belgium, but travels extensively.
